In recognition of the $1.4 million donation left to the RHS through her estate, the Adoption Atrium in the new Animal Community Centre will be named in Sylvia Aumuller's honour.
Sylvia was a beloved sister, aunt, great aunt, daughter, and friend. Known for her fun and playful spirit, she
loved spending time at her cottage at the lake and playing cards with family and friends. Sylvia enjoyed and
took pride in her work as a financial accountant with Alex Marion Restaurants. The welfare of animals was
of great importance to Sylvia, and she shared her life with her beloved cat KC (Kitty Cat). Sylvia passed in
2009 and a portion of her estate was used by the RHS at that time to purchase new cat kennels which will
also be used in the new Animal Community Centre.
