A generous $500,000 donation from Dream is helping the Regina Humane Society (RHS) reach its ambitious $15 million fundraising goal for the multi-year capital campaign to build its new Animal Community Centre.

“At Dream, creating spaces that are inclusive and enrich the lives of those living and working in our neighborhoods is fundamental to what we do,” said Jason Carlston, Regional Vice President at Dream. “The Regina Humane Society’s compassionate care, connection and advocacy in support of the well-being of animals and Regina residents strengthen our community. We are not only thrilled to be able to support the Humane Society’s growth but also to welcome the new facility to one of Dream’s communities, Harbour Landing.”

In May of 2022, the RHS unveiled its plans to build a new $28 million Animal Community Centre supported by a community-wide capital campaign. Located in the vibrant Dream development of Harbour Landing, at 4900 Parliament Avenue, the Animal Community Centre will not only be the best place to adopt a pet, but it will also be the place to learn about, engage with and celebrate animals.

“We couldn’t be more grateful for this incredibly generous gift from Dream,” said Lisa Koch, RHS Executive Director. “Dream has been by our side for the past several years as we worked together to make this lifesaving Centre for animals, and the people who love them, a reality. We are honoured to receive this donation and look forward to sharing the Dream Dog Play Park at the Animal Community Centre with the community when it opens later this fall”.
